Meetings: Normally the first Wednesday of each month, 8:30 - 10:00 am, United Way Building.

In attendance: Annette Clark (Contact Helpline), Jonna Dutt (Contact Helpline), Jonnie Rajala (Div of Children & Fasmily Services), Denine Houchins (Goodwill Employment), Bruce McComb (RECA Foundation), Melanie Ogryzek (RYSC Americorps), Carole Fingerson (Neurological Center), Michelle Hara (Deaf Center), Roger Krebs (Tri-City Residential Services), Tami Nida-Arntzen (Volunteer Center), Bev Casey (Women's Resource Center), Jeri Strange (YMCA), Lynn Wicks (CBC Families that Work).

The meeting was called to order by Denine Houchins at 8:32 am.

Introductions.

Program.

Lynn Wicks - Families that Work - A bridge from welfare to work.

Started in January, 1999. Located in Dayton building (KSD). Funded by community and technical colleges and DSHS. Focus on basic skills and family management. Eligibility requirements are low income and have at least one child (19 or younger). Offerings:

Assistance with childcare Classes in parenting and family management Work Experience ABE/GED instruction Assistance with job skill training A network to the community

Business.

• May meeting minutes approved by all.
• Treasurer's Report: No activity. Balance - $3568.89.

General Business.

• The HSC share of the Tri-City Herald ad (Thank you ad for the Christmas Program) is $159.70.
• Election of Officers. Motion made to task the Executive Committee to identify a list of candidates to be presented at the September meeting for election. Seconded and approved by all.
• This is the last meeting until September.
