Meetings: Normally the first Wednesday of each month, 8:30 - 10:00 am, United Way Building.

The meeting was called to order by Roger Krebs at 8:35 am.

Transit System - Ben Franklin Transit - www.bft.org
Business.
Draft letter to legislators presented by Roger Krebs. Input requested from members - i.e. specific things impacted by I-695. Input specifically including transit issues such as restoring Dial-A-Ride, and consideration for the working poor, youth, and health related issues. Suggested that the Ben Franklin Transit statement be attached to the letter. Emphasize the impact on all human services throughout the community. Roger is schedule to go to Olympia on Friday the 4th to present the final letter.
Minutes for January, 2000 approved by all.
New minutes distribution procedure: Minutes will be posted on the www site (https://www.tcfn.org/hsc) within a day or two of the meeting. The minutes will be distributed via e-mail/fax to the membership one or two days prior to the next meeting. The agenda for the next meeting will also be enclosed.
The HSC online calendar (www.tcfn.org/calendars) is available to the membership to post events and announcements. The calendar system also has the capability to notify an e-mail list prior to the event - from 15 minutes to 14 days. Two notifications can be programmed. For example, the HSC meeting notices are set to go out 8 days and 1 day prior to the meeting.
Treasurer's Report: Beginning balance - $3961.36. Income - Memberships $75.00, Christmas Fund $125.39. Expenses - Postage $6.60. New balance - $4155.15.
Final Christmas Project Report: Income - $60.00 (in kind), $1674.27 (donations), $200.00 (HSC), total income $1934.27. Expenses - $60.00 (in kind gift certificate), $1798.80 (purchase of gifts). Excess - $75.47.
Discussion on excess income from Christmas fund. Motion made and seconded to keep the $75.47 toward year 2000 Christmas Project. Approved by all.
Proposed budget for year 2000. Projected income: member dues - $1,000.00, from reserve - $1,000.00. Total income - $2,000.00. Expenses: community support - $650.00, legislative advocacy - $650.00, administration - $200.00, HSC programs (i.e. Christmas) - $500.00. Total expenses - $2,000.00.
Input provided to Roger Krebs to take to the Executive Committee. Also need a policy for distribution of allocated funds. Please contact the Executive Committee with suggestions and input.
Executive committee will be reviewing bylaws over next few months.
