Meetings: Normally the first Wednesday of each month, 8:30 - 10:00 am, United Way Building.

The meeting was called to order by Sally Butler at 8:40 am.

Introductions and Announcements (summarized):
Dottie - sign-up sheet for relay for life and daffodil days.
Jeri - gifts for kids at Christmas time. Do we want to do it again? If so, need more participation. It was generally agreed that we do want to do it as an HSC project. A sign-up list was sent around asking for commitment of time and resources. Anyone interested in contributing, please call Jeri at 374-1908 ext 14.
Carol Miller - request: tomorrow’s dinner at "Generation US" has room for 8 people who may not be able to afford this celebration otherwise (Richland Red Lion). If interested, please call Carol at 586-0207 ext 236.
Carol Fingerson - Two upcoming events for the Neurological Center. 1st Annual ADD Workshop - A Positive Approach to Attention Deficit Disorder in Children and Adults - Friday, Oct 8, 1999 in the Battelle Auditorium (9:00am - 4:30pm). AND Greater Partnerships of Care - Friday, October 29 in the Tower Inn (9:00am - 5:00pm). Call 943-8455 for details.

Annette Clark - Contact Helpline - gearing up for Nov 13 Christmas Market.

Treasurer's Report
: Beginning balance - $4104.54. Income - $50.00 (2 new memberships). New balance - 4154.54.Welfare Reform Coalition Forum. November 10th at CBC in the evening.. Do we want to co-sponsor? Decision to leave November meeting as is (it’s election time). Sally will follow up.
Treasurer and Vice Chair are open. Jeri Strange will make phone calls and report candidates to the Secretary for publication prior to the November meeting.
Membership renewal. Do we want to change date? No decision made.
Sally needs someone to set up meeting and/or statement on Initiative 695. Roger will take lead. Discussion followed.
Minutes for May and September approved by all.
