1999 Planning

Anyone remember the HSC Planning Retreat in February, 1997? The three goals that we came up with were:

Continue building community connections by creating a campaign to educate and inform businesses and business leaders of our purpose and programs.
Welfare Reform
Provide two educational conferences to the community

How are we doing? Come to next Wednesday's meeting with your ideas and possible solutions. What can we realistically do in 1999?

October 7, 1998

Officers: Sally Butler (Planned Parenthood of Central Wa) Chair, (Vacant) Chair Elect, Jeri Strange (YMCA) Vice Chair, Bruce McComb (RECA Foundation) Secretary, Susan Thornton (League of Women Voters) Treasurer.

Meetings: Normally the first Wednesday of each month, 9:00am - 10:30am, United Way Building.

In attendance: Dottie Walton-Luglan (American Cancer Society), Ed Frost (Ben-Franklin Transit), Mary Hoffman (B-F Juvenile Justice Center), Pat Underwood (B-F Co. Crisis Response Center), Juli Davis (Campfire), Sylvia Bakan (Div. of Child & Family Svcs), Pati Benton (ECEAP), Debi Yadao (Kennewick Housing Authority), Colleen Kandle (Luthran Social Services), Karlene Navarre (Pasco Housing Authority), Sally Butler (Planned Parenthood), Bruce McComb (RECA Foundation), Tonnya Anders (Richland Housing Authority), Carole Fingerson (The Neurological Center), Roger Krebs (TC Residential), Gail Greger (Volunteer Center), Lizann Powers-Hammond (WSU Coop), Jeri Strange (YMCA).

The meeting was called to order by Sally Butler at 9:00am.

New Business:

November's meeting will be a planning meeting to discuss input to Legislators and refocus on mission.

A motion was made, seconded and approved by all to write a letter to the TCH Editor supporting a NO vote for Referendum 49.

HSC Minutes of September 2 approved by all.
